My area of expertise

My original and abiding interest is in political violence and particularly terrorism. Over the years I have advised corporate clients on managing these and other geopolitical and security risks. I have taken a particular interest in risk modelling and building intelligence capability to sustain risk management decision-making. I am often involved in projects that require some application of technology and I have spent much of my career thinking about ways to systematise risk management in business. I have also been in various senior positions at Risk Advisory over the years so I suppose I am a bit of a jack of all trades.
